ABOUT ME
On the surface I might appear rather "conventional" but deep down I'm quite a bit Bohemian/Hippie. I like a challenge, conquest, reason to be on the planet. In the past 5 years I have discovered how much I like traveling. So here I am on CS, realizing that there is a whole world of people who like to do the same and are willing to share. Amazing!
PHILOSOPHY
Life is too short. Live as big and bold as you can, burn your candle at both ends!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm new to this site, so this is a work in progress. I joined CS because of a friend I met on travelchums. He is from Italy and was visiting SF for a few days. I agreed to let him "surf my couch".We had such a great time together, that I just wanted to have more positive experiences like this so I joined CS. I have already been invited to visit a local group of CS'ers tomorrow. Wow you guys move fast!
Interests
I love art (viewing and collecting), design jewelry as a hobby/business, beachcombing (for glass particularly), cooking, traveling (of course), meeting new people, writing ( I email quite a bit - my therapy).

Music, Movies, and Books
Music is very important to me. Some of my closest friends and family are musicians. I listen to pop mainly, but enjoy any high quality music. You know it when you hear it.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Some times it's the little things that are the most "amazing"
A lightning/thunder storm viewed from the terrace of my room in Provence.
Seeing my first sea turtle in Hawaai at the "From Here to Eternity Beach" on Oahu.
Rash Hashanah at Sacre Cour. I know that doesn't fit, but arrived at Sacre Cour in Montmartre, Paris on Rash Hashana while they were holding evening mass. Hundreds of candles lit up the entire church, we lit ours and celebrated both holidays!
Teach, Learn, Share
I have worked for a United States University Hospital for the last 30 years (time to retire) and we have a slogan we say " see one, do one, teach one, so guess that could apply here too. I am really jazzed by the tremendous spirit of community here on CS and my experience is just beginning. Think of the possibilities.
NEW NEWS: In March 2011 I retired, sold my home in San Francsico and moved to Palm Springs. I LOVE BEING RETIRED. MORE TIME TO TRAVEL. YIPIE!
