Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As an Australian I enjoy both surfing and couches, so couchsurfing was a natural addition to my travelling life. I'm actually super grateful for couchsurfing- I've used it a few times (as a traveller in both Australia and Romania) and it's always been an interesting and positive experience. I like that couchsurfing allows you to have a bite-sized cultural exchange that is both friendly and casual.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a huge fan of music, movies and books in general, and enjoy a wide range of genres and styles. Some of my favourite bands include Pink Floyd, Björk and Bob Dylan. My favourite film is Amélie, and my favourite book would be impossible to choose. Too many brilliant stories. Who can choose a favourite book?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most amazing experiences in my life has been going on a one-month backpacking trip around Eastern Europe with my best friend, who I met through a Swiss-Australian exchange program during highschool. We were lucky to have met many interesting people (many through couch surfing!), experienced the varied, rich cultures of eastern European countries and collected many hilarious stories to tell about our unexpected adventures!
