Overview
About Me
I'm an Olah Hadashah from Australia. I have been in Israel since January and currently work at a restaurant in the shuk. I finished ulpan a few months ago, and am constantly trying to improve my Hebrew. Next year, I hope to move to Tel Aviv, where I want to do another ulpan, and then do my Masters in Middle Eastern politics.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My boyfriend and I are living in Nachlaot and are about to head off to Colombia for two months. We are looking for a place to stay for the next week or so before we leave.
I've also been told that it's a really cool way to meet people from all over the world, which sounds pretty good to me!

Music, Movies, and Books
I love blues, jazz, Latin music, and rock. My favourite films are Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle, Ghost in the Shell (I'm getting into Anime at the moment!). I also love all Kubrick films. I mainly read non-fiction but my favourite non-fiction book is A Confederacy of Dunces (funniest book I've ever read).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Moved to Israel! I made aliyah in January after coming here for the first time last year to do summer school at Hebrew Uni, where I met my boyfriend.
Teach, Learn, Share
I could help you with English (speaking, writing, essays, whatever), and would love to have some help with my Hebrew! My boyfriend, Paul, could help you with Spanish (he's Colombian). I love to cook, and would be happy to make you some nice meals, share some drinks, and some good chats. I know a bit about wine and coffee, and love to drink/share/talk about both (and could show you where the best coffee in Jerusalem is). Paul makes some really yummy Colombian food that he could teach you to master. I'm a former Fine-Arts student, so I could do some drawing lessons. Paul is a graphic designer (graduated from Bezalel this year), if that is your thing.
