About Me
My dear fellow travelers,
If you want to stay with me, please take the time to read my profile and write something about yourself! Please also read about my home before you send me a request!
After studying I wanted to get away for a while and decided to go travel South-East Asia for half a year... and what a journey it has been. It changed me in so many ways I can not even describe. Now I'm back home and saving up to travel again in August! Meanwhile, to keep the travelfeeling, I would love to meet travelers and share stories, experiences and everything else!
So now that I'm back, I'm trying to figure out what life wants from me and what I want from life. I feel like I want to do something in return for this beautiful world we are so privileged to experience. I became more conscious about the environment and consumerism. Traveling with a small backpack really made me question why I need all that stuff in my home, and... where does it come from?! With that question in mind, I still catch myself wanting things... but trying to incorporate the idea of less stuff/ not buying new stuff into my life as much as possible. It's all about experiencing!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
'There is no truth, only perception'
You can go around the world and see places, but still be blind for the beauty in that place. Step into another persons' shoes, see through their eyes and open doors you never even knew that were there. Share your eyes and inspire. It's the people that make a place! Change your perception and see your city as a million different places.
What I loved about traveling is meeting new and inspiring people with different lifestyles, way of thinking and views on the world. I love to hear your about your motives, passions and what you think is important in life. I love talking and be inspired and that is what I like to continue doing here!
Interests
I'm a vegetarian and I love to cook fresh meals. Trying new flavors and foodies and experimenting with them is something I really like :).
I loveee making things out of crap/up cycling things you would normally throw out. And therefore, I really like to visit second hand shops and markets for treasure hunting. With my treasures I create new worlds, atmospheres and wonderlands. I work at festivals doing facepaint and creating glitter and facepaint areas, or chillouts where with a group of people we make soup on donation. I love festivals for the community feeling and the co-creating.
I get my energy from good conversations, creating, drawing, collecting, treasure hunts, festivals, trying to understand the human mind, psychology, lucid dreaming, meditation, singing karaoke, moongazing and sunrises, walking in the forest, climbing trees, singing around bonfires, sleeping outside, meeting new people, learning about different cultures, tripping, facepaint, dress up parties, Indian food, cooking and home-made stuff, dancing, spinning poi, the circus, creepy abandoned buildings, adventures, but most of al, connecting to people.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love movies that are unpredictable and have some 'mindfuck' like Inception or The Prestige. I like mysterious, mystical or fantasy movies as well. Most of all I like it when a movie makes you think about yourself, the world, or gives you a new perspective or view on things. Same for books!
I like a lot of different music styles. For chill listening alone at home I love Indie Folk music. Sometimes I like deep melancholic sounds, music that touches your soul somehow. For festivals, I like psytrance, but only in the open air, preferably barefoot in the sand. For clubbing, some dark techno will make me very happy. Im also a fan of 80s and 90s classics.
