My name is Ruby Stocking- literal translation: Red Socks. Very festive. And yes Christmas is my favorite holiday.

In the future, I plan on fleeing the United States and living in a yurt somewhere while making documentary films for a good cause and eating pineapples from my homegrown pineapple plantation. That would be the dream.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I plan of surfing couches and sharing my seemingly useless skills to the world- like juggling apricots in grocery stores. Also in turn I plan on absorbing more seemingly useless but awesome skills to expand my knowledge of unique talents. Example: I have always wanted to unicycle.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Though I have never surfed on a couch before, I have surfed waves.

I like long walks on the beach, people with really impressive beards, and handmade things. Oh, and traveling.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One time while I was basically half alive from food poisoning in India and counting the bug bits on my legs as I was swinging on a hammok, a little boy came up to me with a very small surfboard and taught me to surf. It was swell. PUN INTENDED.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know how to play the native american flute, I have been in a professional Tahitian Dance Troop, I can kind of juggle, I can make some really great Indian food that a woman in India taught me to make (we have to eat with our hands only though), I know how to tie dye t-shirts, I make movies, and I also know how to drive a manual vespa with a side car.
