About Me
The most important thing about me is that I love food. I take cooking and eating very seriously! I love to experience and learn about countries and culture through food. I graduated from university (fine arts) a few years ago. Since then I have travelled through South East Asia, opened an artist run cafe and am now currently working at an Arts organisation nestled amongst the New Zealand bush and doing a diploma in Ceramic Arts.
My upcoming trip to Japan is focused on art and ceramics.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love couch surfing. I am lucky to have had nothing but incredible experiences. It is a beautiful and intimate way to spend time in an unfamiliar place. The people make the place.
Interests
Food in general is fascinating to me. I love the taste, textures, history and politics of it. This goes hand in hand with my appreciation for art.
I also enjoy being amongst nature, going for bush walks and listening to birds.

Music, Movies, and Books
My music taste is pretty broad. I like seeing live music, going to gigs and the occasional electronic rave.
I don't read all that much, generally when I do it is for research (food, art and essays)
The two movies I watched in 2019 that I have really enjoyed is The Lobster and Parasite
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Climbing the Pinnacles at Gunung Mulu National Park
