Overview
About Me
My name is Ruby Jasmine Rose and I'm 30, SriLankan/Indian and a transgender woman. I grew up in a traditional Tamil speaking family with my parents, grandparents and my brother. After finishing my undergraduate in Computer Science, I moved to the United States to study Masters in Computer Science. I went to UC San Diego for my Masters and landed a job with Amazon as a Software Development Engineer. I primarily work on cybersecurity space.
I moved to Seattle in April 2017. I live in a beautiful house with four awesome housemates. I live very close to the Seattle downtown and I like exploring the neighborhoods here. I have been to most of the mountains and lakes in Western and Central Washington. I am yet to explore the Eastern Washington.
I currently live in San Francisco, California undergoing my gender transition with the medical help and community support here.
I have not traveled anywhere besides Southern India until I was 23 years old. Coming to the United States was the first travel abroad in my life. Since then, I fell in love with traveling and it broadened my thought process and I am able to appreciate the diversity we have in this world.
So far I have traveled to some parts of Northern India and the towns closer to Himalayas; France, Switzerland, Corsica, Italy and Malta. I feel that the journey just began and there are lots to explore in this world.
