Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To learn and develop as a person, to discover the world and the best way to live. To enjoy my time and share meaningful experiences with people.
ABOUT ME
I am easy going most of the time and like to learn and have good convos. I'm interested in left wing politics liberation movements. I try to stand up for what I believe in.
I love to have a good laugh.
I try to love people, it helps me live a fulfilling life.
PHILOSOPHY
There is always a reason for the way people act and who they are. Not jumping to conclusions about people is very hard but I think can be improved with practice. Marxist and anarchist thinking influences me quite a bit but I still have a lot to learn.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Interests
I love the ocean - especially surfing and rock-pools.
I am interested in learning other languages as I only know English unfortunately at the moment. I am interested in politics, nature, spirituality and other cultures. I want to know more about almost everything - theories and so much more history to understand the world I live in.
I would like to learn how to dance - in any way! Including partner dancing, contemporary and hip hop.
I love most animals and would love to learn to ride horses well!
I am interested in trauma informed approaches to mental health issues and relationships.

Music, Movies, and Books
Two of my favourite non fiction books are:
'The Boy Who was Raised as a Dog' and 'Born for Love: How Empathy is Endangered and Essential'.
I have started getting into folk music lately.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Snorkeled in the Great Barrier reef - gorgeous!
I have also done a 1 month walk in the remote desert in Western Australia to protest uranium mining and the nuclear industry. I was able to learn from First Nations people about the environmental and spiritual harms caused by the nuclear industry and learn about their culture. It was a beautiful, incredible experience. We walked 300km.
Teach, Learn, Share
Creating awareness: Indigenous Australians are jailed five times more often than black males in South Africa under apartheid. First Australians have the worst life expectancy gap of any indigenous people anywhere. Indigenous problems are being exacerbated by the Australian government under the farce of the Northern Territory Intervention which required the suspension of the Racial Discrimination Act and which the UN has condemned as evidence of embedded Australian racism. Most Australians are unaware of this and the mainstream media ignores it.
Too often in my experience, the shitter the job the shitter the pay.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can teach English skills, I can teach basic surfing, I can cook meals for my hosts. I can share some Australian music. I can talk about life :)
