About Me
ABOUT ME
I work hard and enjoy my family time. Typically, Steve and I travel together and when we are lucky we are able to take our adult children.
I pretty much work so afford to travel.
We enjoy meeting locals and being immersed in the culture.
Memorable times we have shared are hiking in Atlas Mountains in Morocco.
Elephant rescue volunteers in Kancanbury Thailand.
Spending 2 weeks with family in Scotland.
Hiking to Machu Picchu in Peru.
Surviving a tornado in Costa Rica.
So many adventures so many countries,
I work with low income elderly, help them with housing. Steve is a retired master machinist,
We have 2 adult sons. Our home is a little farm. Currently we have 3 permanent dogs and 1 temp dog. 2 cats, and about 15 chickens living outside.
Hosting has been a challenge with so many animals but will if you are an animal lover.
Life is about the experiences we have and the imprints we leave.
"adventure is not in the guide book
and beauty is not on the map
seek and ye shall find"
~Philip John Lindroos~
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”
—Mark Twain

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Looking to share a good meal, fun hangouts, and your country. We enjoy meeting local friends that can introduce us to their culture. It's not just about taking a picture and going home. It's about the lasting memory.
Interests
T.S. Elliot said it best with; "Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go". That pretty much sums me up. I believe that just as there are no certainties in life, there are no limitations either. I believe that all things, events and experiences are dynamic, changing every moment. I think through this randomness, we find reason and purpose, but it is up to us to do something about it. I believe that life is what you make of it.
