About Me

I am a nomad. I crave experience. I long for understanding discovery and perspective on just about everything.

In years gone by I have spent extended periods in New York, Zurich, Los Angeles, Turkey, Berlin, Byron Bay and Melbourne but now in 2016 I find myself embarking on the biggest trip of my lifetime as I ride a bicycle from Bangkok 10,000km all the way back to my home town of Melbourne in Australia.

I am looking for awesome humans on the way in places such as Bangkok, Phuket, Krabi, Malaysia, Sumatra, Java, Yogyakarta, Bali, Lombok, Timor, Darwin, and down to Melbourne with which to converse, hangout, sleep over, take part in cultural excursions or incursions, whether they be dance, travel, explorational, cafe, music, happening, philosophical, political or art related.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to share my bike experiences with folks help out on farms barter some interesting web work, do projects and meet people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Heuristically if it's weird, classic, abstract or experimental I will probably dig it. I am a big fan of a huge array of music, from nicholas jaar to television, through bjork to hudson mowhawke, tera melos, kraftwerk, christian fennesz, lali puna, villalobos, flying lotus, opiuo, siopis, the orb, mum, sigur ros and many other bands. I also love a lot of techno and tech house music and used to DJ dance parties around Melbourne a fair bit although not so much any more. I like films like head, easyrider, klute, chinatown, french connection, the conversation, limitless, loopers, lost boys, akira, studio gibli, dancer in the dark, enter the void, hero. I don't own a tv but I enjoy Breaking Bad and Utopia as far as internet video series are concerned. I dig documentaries particularly vice and bbc docos. Subjects I find fascinating include Western Philosophy, Ethics, Metaphysics, Epistomology, Chinese History, Memetics, Nutritional Biology, European History, Quantum Physics, Chaos Theory, Medicine, Mathematics, Economics, Geography, Politics, Psychology, Alternative Culture, Consciousness, Pharmacology, Physiology, Science, Computer Science, Technology, Architecture, of course Art ...well most things really.
