About Me

ABOUT ME

Until recently I was aid worker in a french international NGO within the logistics field. My responsability as a logistics manager was to facilitate the humanitarians operations through procurement, transportation and storage.

About myself, I'm interested in others ; I'm better at asking questions that talking about myself. And I would describe myself as a helpful person ; I helped a lot of friends moving out :)

PHILOSOPHY

Do not do to others what would anger you if done to you by others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing because I believe that community of travelers is the best weapon against fear and xenophobia. It gives hope in humankind and his ability to build strong ties whatever the origins. But I firmly believe couchsurfing is the best alternative to Airbnb which is making great damages to the cities.

I have been hosting travelers since 2011. I had really few bad experiences. These ones who didn't go well wasn't that terrible. In terms of affinity, it only didn't work.

Interests

Art house cinema, literature (factual stuff, french classics), music (eclectic tastes), sport (watching and practicing it), music concerts, art exhibitions, cooking, dancing, gardening, agriculture, my bicycles, hiking, the trees, the bees, drinking tea, italian movies, the wooden furniture, drinking wine with a fine meal, german beers, drag queens, turtles, light candles....

I like keeping myself posted about current affairs and debating on it. It's quite the same for the things on around Lyon such as demonstrations, art preview, activities, any kind of festivals, pleasant bars, tearooms...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In May 2011 me and two others friends of mine decided to go randomly to Spain. We drove to Spain without knowing where we'll be going and sleeping. We had two tents for the three of us, we didn't want to go in hotels because we run out of money. Therefore we slept in my friend's car in San Sebastian, on the beach, along the road in a field and in Bilbao's streets with the spanish demonstrators who set up camps in all over Spain to protest against the Zapatero's government policy. This week there was intense and tiring at a time : no showers for one week apart from bathing in the atlantic cold sea and sleeping every nights on the rough ground. Further these events, we all had fun and enjoyed it.
