Overview
About Me
I grew up in a small hippie college town in Missouri, USA. Since then, I went to college in California; studied abroad in Berlin; completed a MA in Chicago, and then lived in NYC for 7 years - working jobs from selling cupcakes and editing a journal to associate producing a documentary. Now, I'm working on my PhD focusing on film/media studies and aesthetics.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I got into couchsurfing in my early twenties when I studied abroad. I haven't used it for some time, but I always enjoyed meeting new people and getting a deeper understanding of place by spending time with locals. I care much more about learning about your favorite cafe or bar than seeing all the museums.
