About Me

Hello! I'm a graduate student from the University of Cambridge, currently waiting to start a PhD in London this October.

I'm quite a cosmopolitan person - originally I'm from Italy but I spent the last 6 years of my life studying and working abroad in the UK and France.

Might sound like a cliché, but I really enjoy mixing up with people from all paths of life and backgrounds - during my time abroad I've flatshared with dozens of people from all over the world, which I absolutely loved!

I'm an outgoing person, but at the same time I'm very respectful of other people's personal spaces!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The main thing is to meet people from different nationalities in their own environment. That's a unique chance to make new discoveries and friendships, and possibly share my own experiences with some very cool people!

As I wait to start my PhD (and before I turn 26 in September!) this summer I'll be doing an interrail trip throughout central and northern Europe. Check it out:

Padova -> Zurich -> Amsterdam -> Copenhagen -> Berlin -> Prague -> Vienna -> Padova

I look forward to meeting local hosts from all these cities!

Teach, Learn, Share

People say I'm a decent cook (whilst at Cambridge I paid for my student fees cooking for a bunch of sloppy Anglo Saxons :) ). So, I'm very happy to cook for my hosts and, if they're interested, happy to share top secret Italian recipes!

Also, I could help them practice their Italian and English. Happy to give French a shot too, but I'm afraid I'm a bit rusty!

When it comes to learning, I'm open to all sorts of new experiences, so I look forward to learning as much as I can from my hosts!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Besides sharing an Italian dish or language session, I'm happy to go out with my hosts, whether it's for sightseeing or for a few drinks!
