I would ascribe the following characteristics to myself... Friendly, deep, relaxed, passionate, curious, mature, humble, creative and smart. It all basically comes down to the day and where I find myself and in what atmosphere.

I always like this quote as I don't like it that we tend to put people in a box:

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I started a communal house in 2015 in a cool coastal town in Cape Town. One of my friends which was a housemate got us going on CS and we have hosted multiple people. I therefore know the practicality of couch surfing and we've had some really good times together.

I also believe in the power of giving, sharing and hospitality... hosting or being received in someone's place is a beautiful act of being human. Couchsurfing, in my opinion, surely contributes to creating a better world.

I am finally traveling the bigger world, after having made sure to get to know a big part of my continent first hahaha! So I am Couchsurfing with the intention of making traveling my lifestyle for now and what better way to really get to make local friends and learn languages.

Music: Usually older stuff with some soul in it. Golden oldies of Rock. Xavier Rudd. Classical. Eddie Vedder. Bryan Adams. I am kind of hooked on reality shows like Britains' Got Talent and X-Factor hahaha...

Movies: Breathe In. Genius. Like Crazy (Love Drake Doremus films). The Words. Into the Wild. The King's Speech. The pursuit of Happyness. (I'm really not good at naming movies or actors... but I like dramas, true story, romantic comedies and once in a while a good action movie)

Books:
Still touching the fringes of the world of fiction - if so it will be classics like Camus, Tolstoi, and Dostoevsky... I enjoy poetry, memoirs, and essays. Huge fan of biographies on the people I admire like Hemingway, Van Gogh, Nietzsche, Jane Goodall, Gandhi, Albert Schweitzer etc. Most of my books deal with Wisdom, Theology, Philosophy, and Spirituality, and once in a while, a book like Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert comes around!

I am a good listener and a loyal friend. I would love to share knowledge and experiences with all kinds of people and learn and grow together. Enjoy the sunset and enjoy a beer and some good laughs. I would love to learn local languages wherever I go.

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

I can share my life story with them. I would love to play with their dogs and go for walks. I would invite them to Cape Town and on a trip down the Garden Route to the Transkei in South Africa.
