About Me
I am currently looking for the first Job in the haystack, with a degree in Software Engineering.
I am starting my career, and I am trying new things....
This last year I simply started going out a lot lot lot more instead of staying home, all the time, watching TV or whatever.
I went out with friends.
I went to events.
More importantly!!! I started going to these awesome online-organized meetings where natives and foreigners get together in many different Lisbon's places, with different themes/games/objectives. Where I got to socialize, meet more people and make more friends in a few months than I did in all the past 10 years, that's right! :) And I intend to keep doing it where I live and wherever I travel to 😉.
As you can imagine, along my new adventures, like most people, I will change a lot, and be a bit different person each time you see me. That I hope will be for better. 😊
But I assure you that some parts of me will never change, which are based on my education which is focused on being disciplined, organized, helpful, caring, and respect each and every person, including any kind of beliefs and choices.
Of course, I am my own person and a younger generation, so I did adapt my education to the current world while keeping the true core values. 😊
TLDR: Few world experience, few young years of experience, but changed a lot last year, want to keep changing.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have never left Portugal, besides Brazil, for tourism or work, so this is all new to me.
I want to start hosting people in my home to get an idea of what couchsurfing is and then experiment being a guest around Portugal or abroad.
Life has started to opening doors, in which I intend to start going alone or with friends around the world to meet new people and make friends, eat new foods, learn new cultures, learn their language, visit the most popular places but also the not so well-known places that the people I meet along the way will recommend to me. I will also give enormous importance to integrate into each culture, by learning about all the social norms before getting on the plane. 😊
And of course, have fun, chill out, party, have long walks, have fun conversations, have deeper conversations, have person conversations, hear and tell stories about travelling and otherwise ... while I do all those things I said from the beginning.

You know, the thing about not judging the book by its cover.

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy music, but I am not very enthusiastic about it like most people, but yes I enjoy going out to concerts and musical events with friends and new people. :)
I enjoy any kind of music that invokes strong emotions, and I really mean strong, like a roller coaster. Think epic classic music, or epic movies music.
I also enjoy very high BPM (beats per minute) music, which also invokes strong emotions.
I like those because I can use them when I feel down, or when I feel in the zone, or when I feel inspired, or when I am working in high performance mode.
I like lots of bands and artists, but nowadays with the internet I listen to so much stuff I don't even check for their names 😉.
On the other side of the coin, I love and worship everything that has interesting stories. It can be anything like American/Japanese/Korean/etc Movies, Anime, Cartoons, Animation Movies, Frozen, TV shows, Documentaries, YouTube channels, Online discussions about various things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
With zero air miles at the time, being a lazy out of shape 16 years-old kid.
The most amazing thing I have done was biking during the hot Summer, from 6 AM to 22 PM, for the first time from the center of Lisbon to the top of the mountain of Sintra, which is 60 km away although I think that is more in a straight line so maybe a “couple” more. Without being very fit, guess what, I was constantly tired, hot and kept remembering that South Park quote “You’re hurting my balls mans”, anyway I couldn’t stop or else I would not get home before dinner!!!, silly me 😊. Me and my friend, at the times when there were no smartphones with google maps and GPS, we used paper google map maps with a painted trajectory, literally using Paint. As we didn't know how to get there, and since google maps was not as advanced as it is now, it wasn't able to make a path for us. So, we basically had to create the best possible path looking at satellite images, following the straight line from Lisbon to String, which was close to the main highway that connects those two places. Along the way we had to stop many times to understand where we were, looking at all the papers, lots of times we got lost and went forward and back, asked people on the street for directions, asked some bad people for directions!, one time by mistake we got into the highway and almost 1000 meters forward, we actually get to realize where we are, the highway, as cars are going 120 km/h close to our bikes going 25 km/h because of the wind pressure we almost fell off our bikes, and the trucks, omg the trucks!, we got really scared of having an horrible accident and got back the way we came from and promised to never got into an highway ever 😲, that was what we thought at the moment, remember what I said in the interests section? 😊 .
Reaching the bottom of Sintra Mountain was easy, now the climb was the hardest ever, stopped to rest sometimes on the way up but still kept going. At the top, we ate some bananas and sandwiches while knocked-out. The view and landscape was/is beautiful, the green, the city, the sea, the castle, but actually we only got a glimpse of Sintra since it's huge in terms of scenery points of view and hiking paths.
On the way, down we went as fast as the cars, going at 70 km/h, don't worry we were using a helmet. Then instead of returning home by the same path we came from we decided to go along the Tagus river coast by the Marginal highway, guess what, the tiredness made us embrace those Mach 1 trucks, the ride was/is beautiful to see the sunset happen slowly as we arrived home by late at night.
In the end it was worth it, I spent the entire day biking, with a huge friend, in new territory, saw beautiful sights, I may remember some tourists on the way 😝, got super tired and slept like a baby why my legs hurting of a week but nevertheless it was wort it.
There you go, my one amazing thing I've done without had having flied anywhere and using only my bike and some paper maps.
I am still like that nowadays, and you can see from my story what are some of my personality traits and skills, like: knows how to plan into the unknown and how to adapt, resists obstacles, lives the moment, enjoys company, nature and highspeed/adrenaline, creates unforgettable experiences, etc.
TLDR: I like to do crazy adventures into the unknown. Can you help me with that?
Teach, Learn, Share
TEACH
I can teach and improve your Portuguese/English fluency significantly in just a few days being with me. (trust me, I am a persistent and caring teacher)
I can teach you how to learn about anything, online. How to find and get what you want, about anything, I've spent thousands and thousands of hours perfecting this art in my temple. It can be about "how to save money while traveling", "finding the cheapest fly tickets” to “why are some Portuguese guys so crazy?”, etc.
Being a Software Engineer, obviously, I can teach and help with anything related to IT, computers, software, math, physics, but also philosophy, was that one on my curriculum? 😝.
LEARN
I want to learn more about Countries local places’ culture and unforgettable places, and also very important to talk enough fluently the native language(s).
I would love to learn how to have a good love life.
I would love to learn how to raise kids well from other parents.
How to communicate better. How better my leadership skills. How better my power of persuasion. (for good, since "with great power comes responsibility")
Economics, Politics, Finances, Marketing, Human Resources Management, History, Medicine, "Brain" and Neural medicine, Statistics, Law, Space, Astronomy.
SHARE
Lisbon city, everyone is welcome.
I can share unforgettable moments with you, their surprises or planned....
Teach you problem solving, including life issues, in my unique way, contrasting with yours.
I can share my way of thinking life and my opinions about the important stuff.
How to better accept bad outcomes by knowing that they can happen but more importantly, what can you take from that experience?
I can share my life experience which includes being part of a huge family, not rich. Being a unique son but lots of aunt and uncles, therefore lots of cousins, and those cousins' children. From all ages, from 3 months’ cousin's newbourn to 26 years old cousin's “childs”. Cousins from 22 years old to 50 years old. Uncles and aunts from 50 to 80 years old. You get the perspective, lots of people, younger and older, growing, growing old, learning, teaching, fighting, helping, crying and lots of dramas but still, my aunts still insist on keep seeing these Portuguese soap operas 😝.
Although I haven't traveled the world that much, I have been through a lot personally and so have my family. So, I have been learning a lot about life since I was young.
