About Me

Hi! I'm a master's student in Electrical Engineering and I live in Lisbon. When I'm not studying I like spending my time at home watching movies and series, playing videogames and learning to play the guitar, but I also like to go out to hang out with my friends and going to the gym. I think it is important to do all these things in a balanced way to have a healthy lifestyle. I'm a calm person who likes to listen to others and talk about any interesting topic and I like to avoid conflicts with others. I have a good sense of humor and I can joke about anything, as long as it doesn't offend anyone. I generally prefer more relaxed environments to socialize, but I also like going to parties or clubbing and I can adapt to any kind of environment.
I have an open mind in relation to other cultures and religions and have curiosity learning about them. I love traveling to new places and knowing their people and culture. I think it's a very enriching experience and it allows me to see life in different perspectives.
I live with my parents but last semester I had an experience living alone in an Erasmus Program in the Netherlands. During my time there I learned to do the house chores and manage my time better. Since then I'm more independent and organized around the home.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love traveling to new countries to experience different cultures and people and explore new places and their history. While I have travel abroad almost every year, I still haven't visited many countries in Europe, having mainly visited Spain a lot, because of its proximity, and countries outside Europe. Because of this, me and a friend planned to do interrail through 12 countries in Europe and I think Couchsurfing is a great way to meet local people, learn about their culture and share our own. I think Couchsurfing will provide a better experience in the cities we visit, with the company and guidance of whoever hosts us.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm trained in classical music I learned to play the harpsichord, a baroque instrument, so, naturally, I love all kinds of classical music. Despite that, I can appreciate almost every genre of music. I listen to Indie, Jazz, blues and classic and alternative rock the most, and my some of my all time favorite bands are The doors, Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin. I like to go to classical concerts as well as rock concerts and festivals.
Regarding movies and series, my favorite genres are fantasy, sci-fi and comedy. Some of my favorite movies in those categories are Star Wars, Interstellar, Inception, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, The Life of Brian, Monty Python and The Holy Grail, The Hungover, Anchorman and Dinner for Schmucks. I also love classics like The Godfather and Forrest Gump and all Tarantino movies, Pulp Fiction being my absolute favorite.
My favorite series are Game of Thrones, Westworld, Stranger Things, Black Mirror, Breaking Bad, The Office and Silicon Valley. I also watch a bit of anime and I tend to watch the ones less episodes and faster pace. My favorites are Stein's gate, Attack on Titan and Fullmetal Alchemist, Hunter x Hunter and Code Geass.
As for books, I haven't read much recently but when I was younger I read a lot of fantasy books, Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings being my favorite sagas. I plan to start reading The Song of Ice and Fire saga in the future.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The Erasmus Program I did last semester was a very good experience for my personal self-growth. I learned to be more independent, more organized, more responsible and to thrive in difficult situations. I met a lot of different people from all around the world and had contact with a different culture and environment. It was very interesting to see how different life can be in another country, and it also made me appreciate the good things about my own country even more.
