Hi !! My name is Rui and I'm a friendly easygoing person that really loves to travel and explore.
Always smiling, trying to enjoy every single day and make the others happy.
I like adventure experiences, doing sports, relax in the park , hiking in the nature, etc.

I'm a person very active, my week is full of activities and I work for that. During the week I spend most of the time in my job but in the free time I play several sports, I go to the gym, I help as volunteer in my association. Holidays and free time at the weekends I always try to do trips everywhere..!

Why travel it's one of the best things in life for me:

• Say goodbye to my comfort zone;

• See how other cultures live [and appreciate diversity];

• Challenge my senses [and try new things];

• Gain a perspective for the small space you occupy in the world [by opening my eyes and mind to new places, people, wildlife… and much more];

• Learn to try new things [and learn what I really like and don’t like];

• Make new friends from around the world [and take a little piece of them with I wherever I go];

• Learn wasting time is not time wasted [but make every minute count];

• Develop skills I didn’t know that I had;

• Grow and became a better myself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

There are several reasons why I'm Couchsurfing but the main is to TRAVEL :)

Travel allows us to shape our own world, see it and understand it first hand, not rely on the selective material made available to us through the media or textbooks. There’s a whole world out there to uncover, if we just go ahead and take the first step.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have participated in a training course called The Challenge that took place from in Malta. The overall aim and specific objectives of the project were to promote the use of outdoor activities as an educational tool when working with young people. I did several activities such as camping, canoeing, orientation, games with young people, visit tourists places with challenges. It was for sure a great experience that I really enjoyed for life.
