ABOUT ME
First, call me Ray if you are unsure of how to say my name. Just done my 11 months long solo backpacking trip in Europe!
I got addicted to travelling since my first backpacking trip to Southeast Asia in May 2011. I have a big brother and always heard from him how amazing backpacking is and I never thought that I would step into his shoes one day. But I really appreciated that he did encourage me to try backpacking. I've become more daring and independent ever since and now I try to travel to as many places as I could.
I prefer to slow my pace down when travelling and instead be like a check-point tourists, I'll rather spend my time on museums and on the street to really learn about the culture. I like to know a city's history, it's past glory and tragedy. Learning the history really helps me to grow. To somebody I might be a nerd, hanging out in the museum too much and not partying. But hey, it's who I am, and I really like to learn.
I'm not really an extrovert person, I might be a little bit quiet sometimes if I just met you but if I do feel right with people I can talk a lot with them too. I'm trying to push myself further,to be more easy-going with people.
I am keeping a blog about my Europe trip, it is in Chinese but you can look at pictures anyway. (http://duxingouzhou.blogspot.com/)
Not a party person nor a smoker.
PHILOSOPHY
You are solely responsible for the life you are having now. So stop whining and go do something you are passionate about.

Sherlocks Holmes, Pride and Prejudice, Audrey Hepburn's movie, the sound of music, more to go but can't think of it now.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Amazing though not really cheering, the people of Cambodia who've gone through hard war and genocide has taught me a lesson about forgetting the past and keep moving on. It's heartbreaking to watch how they suffered, but it is heartening to see that they are building up a new future.
Also meeting people when I travel. I feel like I could live a thousand different lives if I collect a thousand different stories.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am learning to take good pictures, especially landscape and street photography, perhaps that is something that we could share and learn from each other.
