Music, Movies, and Books

movies: italian neorealism and french noir, and british comedy, and drama (really it's hard to pick a favorite after i studied films for some time, and it really depends on the period in my life). some all time favorites: love actually, the hours, roma, rocknrolla, memento, trainspotting, life of pie (anything by federico fellini, christopher nolan, wes anderson or ang lee).

music: jazz, punk, rock n roll, and anything i can dance to.

books: i read a lot of economics and development stuff, and shakespeare. favorite novel is "a tale of two cities" so hardcore dickens fan. obsessed with any literature on the subject of french revolution, anything.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

lived in a remote half muslim half hindu village in bali, indonesia for two months, teaching english everyday right by the sea
