About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Discover and share.

ABOUT ME

We're a (married) couple of musicians (Antoine, 28 & Susan, 26) with a young vibrant fun daughter (Ileana, 3,5). Together we regularly switch languages since Antoine's mother tongue is French and Susan's are Dutch and English but we both speak all three (and Ileana does her best :-)).
We share a deep passion for life, art and people.
Besides our daughter, we started another project together called "RUNtoSEED" which is made of music we play together, intimate concerts where we get to really connect with our audience, and a portal to ideas for recycling and keeping our planet green.
We're Couchsurfing / Crowdfunding / Open-source etc. -enthusiasts because we believe in sharing and connecting, as well as in the possibilities new technology brings us in that matter.

We'd like to meet you and play for you.

PHILOSOPHY

That would make a good conversation with a Couchsurfer wouldn't it ?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

You're welcome in our home.
We'll play intimate concerts in yours.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Antoine had great experiences Couchsurfing in France, Sweden, and Poland, as well as hosting surfers in Ghent.

Together we Couchsurfed in Barcelona a few years back. We also kind of Couchsurfed without the help of Couchsurfing.org

Our Couchsurfing experience was interrupted for a few years with the birth of our daughter but we're ready to get back in the game!

****ABOUT THE REFERENCES****
I just want to say something about the two negative and the one neutral references we got because things need to be set straight. They are all from people we have never met, all from the same place.
One is from people who had confirmed we were welcome but then never gave us their address (they had a good reason though we found out much later : their house got flooded!). When we gave them a neutral reference (negative felt too harsh and positive didn't make sense) saying we thought they probably had good reasons but weren't there when they said they would be, they left us a negative reference and asked us to remove ours (which we did but then again no news from them and their negative reference is still there).
Since they never answered, we needed to find another place, which we did. The guy told us we had to be there before 4pm and with traffic on our trip we arrived at 3:40pm. They had left a note on the door saying we were not welcome anymore and we got stuck with our 4 year-old and no backup solution. We left him a negative reference and got two extremely hateful negative references back, in German. One from him, one from a friend of his! The friend replaced her negative reference for a just as hateful neutral reference.
Luckily in the end we found another couch to surf and it was amazing, great people as I had been used to meet with Couchsurfing.

*MEETING PEOPLE IN PERSON*
So simply put : our one and only terrible experience with Couchsurfing implies people we haven't met. All the people we ever met in person through Couchsurfing were fantastic people and that's worth pointing out!
