I am a musician and DJ in western NY but I grew up in Colorado (Wheat Ridge) and never made it back there. Music is my life. I play guitar mainly but also can play bass drums and keyboard as well. I sing and play guitar in a popular 90's cover band (White Bronco) amongst others here in NY. Although we play alternative rock hits, I am also into indie singer songwriter stuff and enjoy playing acoustic coffee shop gigs too. I am a believer in karma and get along with everyone so I figured I will give couch surfing a try.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am at a point where I want to travel and do not have a ton of money to do it. I have made a comfortable living as an independent artist but it does have its drawbacks. For example I get to do what I love for a living but that living does not always afford me fancy hotels and airfare.
I am also considering relocating and want to experience other cities first hand and hopefully play out, even if its just a coffee shop open mic or entertaining your guests from the couch.

Interests

My interests include music obviously but I am also into socializing, animals, hiking, experiencing new cultures, and meeting new interesting people. I also enjoy cooking and and drinking micro brews. I brew my own beer and grow some of my own food. Although I am not vegetarian, I love vegetarian cuisine and have even considered "going veggie". I am very easygoing and open to trying new things.

I loves 90's alternative rock and newer alt/indie rock. My favorite bands include Black Keyes, Cage the Elephant, The Strokes, Incubus, Modest Mouse, Queens of the Stone Age, Jack White projects, Dave Grohl, Bowie, Weezer, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've toured the Northeast US as wells been on a cable reality show twice as well as local television. I have a nationally released album and my bandmate went on to join international recording artists Rusted Root. I have opened for the Whalers and roomed with members of the Goo Goo Dolls. I even scrolled audio for an independent film shot in Western NY.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am very good at track recording music as well as live application. I have all my own gear to record remotely. I use Logic Pro for production and am great at teaching those interested. I am also a great graphic designer and web developer. I have written apps on the iTunes app store and designed countless websites.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I will DJ, play live acoustic guitar, or build a website for anyone kind enough to host me for a week or so. I am also open to any other service I offer. I am great at designing logos, flyers, recording demos, filming and editing. Thanks for your consideration!
