About Me
Hola compañeros/as de viaje!
I left my job in February 2016 with the goal of sailing around the world. After almost a month wandering around Mexico (amazing!!) I've found a boat and am heading out into the Pacific. As of June 2016 I've arrived in French Polynesia after 27 days at sea! Next stop unknown :D
Alternately, you can check out my social media @aChartOfDays or aChartOfDays.com
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Travelling to new places and then staying in a hotel is no way to meet the world. I'd rather share a tiny place with amazing new friends than a big empty hotel or airbnb room and miss out on all the best local tips, foods, bars, fun, adventures and zeitgeist!
Also, saving money is nice of course :D
Interests
I'm a bit of a dork - I like books and history and politics and economics and boardgames - but I'm always open to trying something new. I have an adventurous spirit and will give almost anything a shot - whether that's new food or jumping out of a plane! haha
Also, I obviously love sailing and would be very happy to crew on any boats that might need extra hands for a race or a passage.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music - Red Hot Chili Peppers, but I like anything and want to experience new music while I'm travelling.
Movies - I have a joke about movies - the only way that a movie is better than a book is if it has explosions (and one or two other things...) because that's the only thing a book doesn't do very well!
Books - a recent favourite is Happy City by Charles Montgomery; it's about what makes people happy, and how we often set goals that run counter to our own happiness. I'm also a big fan of Hemingway, and part of my travels are to better understand how his mind worked while he was writing.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I started a t-shirt company called Rodeo Relaxo in 2014. I just thought "I love t-shirts, I'm pretty funny, and this will be something new to learn" so I did it!
Of course, it was a complete failure hahaha . But it was fun and I still wear my shirts today :D
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm not sure how useful this is while travelling, but I'm good with numbers and accounting and spreadsheets, etc. I'm also a good English editor, so if you need any editing done for professional English documents, I'd be happy to help.
I'm trying to learn the harmonica, because it seems like a very convenient instrument to travel with. I used to play the guitar, but I'm terribly out of practice.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I think I just answered that in the previous section... what am I supposed to put here I wonder?
