Overview
About Me
I am currently a student at The Ohio State University studying public health. I work at the rec center on campus. I play a lot of basketball and would consider myself a pretty active person. I also like to swim, waterski, and kayak. I just went on a trip to Japan to study public health and am hoping to travel much more in the coming years.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I was hiking the Grand Canyon in July of 2015 with my girlfriend and met two girls who were road-tripping across the U.S. They started telling us about all the interesting people they had met while couch surfing and recommended we try it out. A few weeks later, I am embarking on my first couch-surfing experience in Sedona, AZ. I look forward to meeting more CS-ers around the country - and the globe.

Music, Movies, and Books
I am a big fan of Hip Hop, Funk, Soul, and Rock. Some of my favorite artists would be Outkast, The Strokes, Kendrick Lamar, and The Temptations. A few of my favorite movies include The Big Lebowski, Pineapple Express, most Wes Anderson films, and Snatch. A few of my favorite books are "Mountains Beyond Mountains", "The Catcher in the Rye", and "A Thousand Splendid Suns".
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Successfully navigating the subway in Tokyo, minutes after an earthquake that shut down or delayed many of the rail lines we needed to take.
Hiking to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and back up in one day, then devouring an extra large pizza and ice cream.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am learning some origami now so I can teach a little bit but still far more to learn. I know a good card trick.
I'd love to learn Japanese (will be taking it next semester), more about cooking, and cheap ways to travel the world. I have always wanted to learn to play an instrument but have never taken the time to.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'd love to take any of my hosts out to dinner at one of there favorite spots and enjoy some good conversation. I really like meeting new people and hope to do that more through traveling. And just good times in general.
