About Me

I'm a farm worker from Canada who studied computer engineering! I love travelling and learning about different cultures, as well as being outdoors in general. I'm originally from Toronto, but I live in Montreal now.

I'm a very active person, so I love any activities that mean moving my body, be it dancing, running, climbing, or martial arts. I'm also very social, and love to have a good conversation, bonus points if its in a language I'm learning!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting new people and getting to experience new cultures, and what better way to get to know the local way of life than to experience it with a local?? I also love being able to give that experience to others when I have the opportunity.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm definitely a music lover, and have a fairly broad range of music that I listen to. I love jazz, rock, funk, metal, R&B, rap, and many more. I'm very open-minded, and I tend to love all kinds of music.

I also love to read, and I try to read whenever I can. My favourites include: the Unbearable Light of Being by Milan Kundera, the Dispossessed by Ursula K Le Guin, and the Color Purple by Alice Walker.

I'm also a big fan of movies. I love Tokyo Story, Groundhog Day, I Daniel Blake, and Parasite to name a few.

Would love to chat about your favourites!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did a 6 month solo trip in Latin America to learn Spanish through immersion after some prior studying. I ended up spending 2 months on a farm and loving it. I definitely made some lifelong memories and friends!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm always willing to help out whenever needed, I love to cook and I like to clean! I worked as a farmhand, so I have experience with working outside and with plants in case you need help with a garden. I can also offer conversation, be it telling stories or sharing music. I speak Spanish at a strong intermediate level, so I could teach the basics of that, or provide conversation practice. Also French, at a lower intermediate level.
