About Me

ABOUT ME

I like to cook. I'm amiable, generally. Cats are nice. A world without tacos would be a grim one. Most things look better at night. If I can think of anything else I'll let you know.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm a logical postivist mormon... Keep an eye out in your local bookstore for my treatise "On Logical Postivist Mormonism." It's probably going to be a big deal.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

People are pretty nice. They let me stay in their house.

Interests

Here's a poem I like: As to what can be seen through a window... it depends. If the window is properly aimed one might see into another window just across the way. Then one sees a puppet working a pork chop like a surgeon operating with a scalpel, and putting pieces of the patient in his mouth.

The puppet is having applesauce with his pork chop, just like me. I'm having applesauce with my pork chop, too...

Music, Movies, and Books

Two books I think everyone should read are "One Hundred Years of Solitude" and "The Death and Life of Great American Cities." I listen to Rachmaninov and Black Flag, and a few other things. Robert Bresson and Werner Herzog have made some good movies, so have some other people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I saw a rag picker in Istanbul, standing next to a push-cart filled with about 15 cubic meters of plastic bottles, playing with stray cats with a laser pointer.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love learning about cities. Everything urban fascinates me, neighborhoods, demographics, transit systems, vernacular architectures, et al. If anyone wants to talk about those things, I'm down. If they want to talk about beer and music that's cool too.

People tell me I'm a good cook. I'd love to make some food for some people.
