I grew up in Stoke, went to Uni in Derby, I've lived in China for almost 4 years now.

I ran cross country at school, played ultimate frisbee at university, I hike and cycle now, I want to climb someday.

I speak English and intermediate Chinese.

I like to get on the deeper side of life when it suits but love to laugh and shoot the breeze too.

My parents raised me well, I'll treat you, your home and your belongings with respect. I tend to be quite independent when I couch surf.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am a verified member and take part in the events we hold here in Dalian.

I have surfed in China and Korea. I hosted my first CSer this summer (2012).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When playing ultimate we used to stay at random houses belonging to other players. It wasn't formally part of the CouchSurfing network but the same etiquette applied.

I have since couch surfered several times and hosted for the first time in summer 2012. I had positive experiences on all accounts.

Interests

Music, right now I am really interested in lyrics what they mean, how they are written etc. So artists such as Scroobius Pip, Gil-Scott Heron, Frightened Rabbit etc are of interest to me right now. I also like some Chinese bands 万能青年旅店, Carsick Cars and Free the Bird (ZIYO/自游)
Getting outdoors, I'm active, I had two PE teachers for parents. Give me a bike, boots, kayak anything, I'll try it. My current training is focused on body resistance training, I am aiming to perform a pike leaver (elephant life) and planche someday.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Cycled across Guanxi province including serveral nights camping in rice fields and woods!

Teach, Learn, Share

Cooking - western delights such as pizza, cookies, ginger biscuits and cakes.

Traveling - I done a few hikes and bike trips, will happily share my experience.

English - of course, I can help polish your English too.
