I am Yury and in the last ten years many have known me as the Russian Hobbit or the Hermit Hobbit (Хоббит Отшельник). Although I have not read any of Tolkien's books and am not interested in such topics at all.

And the thing is that for the last ten years I have lived in a dugout on the side of a highway near Moscow in Russia.

And because the door of my dugout is round people called me the Hobbit. Аnd because I live alone in the forest they called me the Hermit.

But I dare to assure you that I am an absolutely social person and take an active part in public life and even ran for deputies a couple of years ago аnd in March of this year I was arrested for speaking out against the war with Ukraine.

And now I have to leave my home and run away with my pet rabbit Petrushka. Because Russia went crazy and it became dangerous for me.

I will be very glad to receive a book from you as a gift for bookcrossing and for my library. You can have any book to suit your taste, and it’s better if it’s not new, but used and in any condition.
