About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Following my bliss!
ABOUT ME
Currently living on a very, very remote island, so taking a break from CS!
I love meeting new people, exploring new places, and pausing from time to time to remember just how damn lucky I am.
I generally work in the nonprofit sector doing environmental work and research. In my free time, I like to make electrical tape art, cook poorly planned meals, and run around in nature.
I never pass up a chance to costume (the more glitter, the better) or dance (poorly).
PHILOSOPHY
"If you contribute to other people's happiness, you will find the true goal, the true meaning of life." -HHDLXIV
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've hosted a few great people at my old place in New Orleans and surfed a bit while in Europe. Hopefully someday soon I'll not be living in a super crazy apartment, model home, or on a remote island, so I can host again. CS has been a wonderful reminder of all the amazing people in the world, just waiting to be met!
Interests
Sculptural ceramics, swimming in the ocean, environmental justice, climbing trees, dancing in the streets, running (preferably up hills), drinkin daqs on the levee, sustainability, making giant pots of Tibetan soup for friends, acquiring skills, yoga, wandering aimlessly, baking vegan treats, getting to know new places....

Music, Movies, and Books
(I like too much and remember too little.)
I'm in love with New Orleans brass bands, especially when accompanied by a second line.
On the Road, The House of Mirth, The Country Under My Skin
Bill Cunningham NY, Amelie, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Troll 2
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Spent 6 months on the most remote island of the most remote archipelago in the world with 5 other people.
Teach, Learn, Share
I've got some vegan cooking and baking skills up my sleeve. I used to be a lifeguard and swimming instructor, so I can teach valuable life skills like how to blow bubbles. I can identify a bird or two.
There are a bazillion things I want to learn/improve upon (languages, surfing, permaculture, photography, beer brewing, scuba diving...).
Countries I’ve Visited
Belize, Cambodia, Canada, El Salvador, Guatemala, India, Thailand, United Kingdom
