About Me
Hit there! My name is Rustem Rozenberg, and I’m 18 years old. I was born in St. Petersburg, Russia, and moved to Bochum, Germany, where I completed elementary school. When I was ten, my family relocated to Nesher, Israel, and I’ve been living here ever since.
I love sports, mainly calisthenics and tennis and an occasional game of ping pong with friends. I also really snowboarding and bouldering.
Currently, I’m a research intern at a Hi-Tech company based in Tel Aviv, where I mainly work on Cloud Research. I also enjoy 3D modeling, occasionally Photoshop, and have some experience with video editing.
Academically, I graduated high school with a Badge of Excellence and have taken courses at the Open University of Israel and Technion, along with programming classes on Coursera. I’ve also volunteered with the Boy Scouts and served as an assistant supervisor for an academic program for high school students at the Technion.
Nature holds a special place in my heart - I love going for walks and trekking, and I’ve been fishing since I was five! We also have a pretty big garden at our current apartment where we grow various herbs and fruits and veggies. Right now, I’m learning Japanese and I’m also trying to learn the guitar and the Jew's harp.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Traveling has always been an important part of my life. Because I couchsurfed wit my mom since I was 5 years old, as well as lived in three different countries during my childhood it has become an inseparable part of who I am. Meeting new people is, in my opinion, one of the things that makes travel so rewarding—and what better way to do that than by couchsurfing!

Music, Movies, and Books
I was never too invested in movies or music, but I remember really enjoying the Star Wars series, and I love comedies by Adam Sandler.
My music taste can range from hyperpop to jazz and funk, I really love variety! I constantly find myself searching for new songs to listen to, and many times I discover new genres that I never knew I would enjoy.
I love reading and I sadly don't do it as much as I'd love to. My top books would definitely be "100 years of solitude" by Gabriel García Márquez, "the neverending story" by Michael Ende (must read imo!) and one that I'm currently reading called "Measuring the World" by Daniel Kehlman.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I have had a pretty hectic childhood, I grew up in 3 different countries and through that I have acquired a pretty big set of social and adaptive skills that I think everyone should know of. I'm also extremely curious by nature so I will be definitely interested in anything and everything hosts will offer me. In my opinion you haven't lived life if you don't do thing out of your comfort zone and I love to live by this idea.
