ABOUT ME

born in bath,uk.emigrated to australia when i was 20.lived in perth ,west aus since. run my own mechanical repair busness,and in my spare time restore old vehicles (see pictures) love to travel a lot and get to europe for at least 4 weeks every northern summer.still have lots more places to go ....oh yes , bring chocolate... and lots of it !! i dont do healthy food... if i was meant to eat green things i would be a cow or a horse... !

PHILOSOPHY

to make my contribution to this world.to host couchsurfers.. but only people who have provided a couch for others in the past and who have a complete profile, and not a a few lines of nothing in a foreign language just to get a free bed !!to do my best to make people happy .to not rely on money to rule me (the best things in life are free ) a smile costs nothing and it means so much !!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

have been hosting for over 9years now and have hosted313 plus people in that time!!.i always seem to have someone new coming and also lots of people come back for a few days after travelling around the state.. also go to the regular c.s. meetings in perth ...
*********please be aware.. i live almost 50km from the airport ... 60km from Perth.... you will need your own transport!!!!! ***** this place is very peacefull and full of wildlife. we have lots of wild birds , kangaroos, an emu, and lots of lizards of all variates and sizes. if you like nature you will love it here, but if you want to party, then please... think again as you will get bored
please..... if you make plans to surf my couch, then stick to them!!! i am getting slightly pissed off with people,mostly young girls travelling together and saying they are coming then not turning up, which deprives someone in need of a couch !!! please plan carefully, and remember that i dont have to host anyone..! thank you !

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

so far i have only hosted people .but in july this year i hope to travel through north eastern europe and couchsurf all the way...update..... now i have surfed .. all the way around scandanavia and the baltics . awesome experience !! now in 2010 im going to surf in holland and belgium !(update for 2010) now im couchsurfing my way around holland ! been there, done that got the tee shirt from the red light district... now where too next???update.. 2011 went to romania, couchsurfed in bucharest, then hired a car and toured romania.... WoW what a country! check it out .. its great ! and cheap! next stop??

Interests

travel,restoring old vehicles,and driving them...also like wakeboarding,fishing , boating and the beach.and like to take the 4wd out into the bush and camp out for a few nights at a time

not really into movies.... comedy is good,the odd war movies but not horror or scifi.
dont read many books,but the odd novel does make its way onto my bedside table now and again...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

taken 14 years to restore a rusty wreck of a car into a fully licenced and drivable 1933 austin 12/6 car !!

like to teach young people life skills ,share my adventures of my lifetime with them and try to guide them and help them lead a full and constructive life... and remember... when life hands you a lemon, make lemonade!!!!!!!
