About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Work hard, Party harder ;-)

ABOUT ME

I'd say I'm an easygoing guy. I like to meet new people and enjoy new experiences. Things I like: travelling ofcourse! Soccer, my bed, last-minute idea's, extreme sports (snowboarding, surfing and once skydiving), chillout with friends and making lots of fun. I just enjoy the time and try to get positive energy out of every situation.

PHILOSOPHY

Be inventive and creative, see the world, meet worlds best people and party's; Never count the days; but make that days count!

"Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do, than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from your safe harbor and catch the trade winds in your sails.
Explore, Dream, Discover!" -Mark Twain-

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I met a lot of good people by this thing. If I'm not travelling by myself, I can host for some days. Most guests came back several times and become good friends. I agree, CS is the best invention since the invention of the lightbulb! ;-)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I started to crash on some couches in Venezuela before I joined CS, since I started this I've got many good experiences and met a lot of interesting, inspiring and funny people. Some day I like to visit Australia the same way, backpacking, hitch-hiking and couchsurfing.
I only accept friend-requests after meeting you in person, its not about the number of friends, but about real friends!

Interests

I'm interested in a lot and throwing myself into a world of different people, cultures, and disciplines is what sustains my life. I hope to visit as much country's as possible and meet new people. I'm keen on: going out, drinks on the beach, sports with a level of risk in them and visiting concerts and dance-festivals in holland and abroad.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a pretty diverse taste in music and i'm open minded in different genres: I like all harder styles in dance music (Hardstyle/Hardcore) , but also old rock from Johnny Cash to Iron Maiden, Irish folk, Bob marley, Mark Knopfler, the Doors, M83, The Knife, the XX, today's charts and many more. I like listening to new music from abroad.
Tv: Travel-programs, soccer, formule 1, etc.

Movies: "Into the wild" ...ofcourse!
Recently watched 'Lion' , impressive and based on a true story

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Swimming in a crocodile-pool in Mexico with local people and three crocs. Two of them we could see, the third was under the water-surface... I still got my legs!

Teach, Learn, Share

Benefit from eachother experiences and having a great time. Meet the local people and friends. I want to learn from other cultures and maybe tell some about our dutch way of life. I just started spanish.
I'd love to take you on my boat to do the same boat-trip I always do with my guests for a day into the national reservate and the ancient city over here.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Cosy evenings, visiting the beautiful coast town over here, cycling into the natural reservate, show best places of amsterdam and teach you some dutch words. Since I have worked for one year in Saudi Arabia (the only country in the world what is not possible to travel to, no travel-visa) my life changed a lot. Living in a country with strict prohibities, without parties, clubs etc made me to live every day as a gift nowadays, to feel free and to be who you are, no matter gender, sexuality, religion or race.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Kenya, Maldives, Mexico, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Scotland, Senegal, Spain, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Switzerland, Tanzania, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, Venezuela

Countries I’ve Lived In

Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, Switzerland
