About Me

I’m a professional singer and globetrotter. I studied music at a small university in Scotland, and since graduating 2.5 years ago, I have worked in Spain, France, Abu Dhabi and Bahrain. I love meeting new people and I always seem to get myself into the most random situations.... I'd love to write a book one day!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I ran out of money in the USA, whilst travelling alone and my friend suggested that I tried coushsurfing. As young solo traveller on my first expedition, I was incredibly nervous and skeptical of the idea. I'm glad that I took the opportunity to stay with my amazing hosts who allowed me to experience their culture in a way that I never would have otherwise. My experiences through Couchsurfing have been brilliant so far and I feel very fortunate to have learned about the cities in which I stayed. I look forward to what/who the couchsurfing community brings my way next, and I hope to make more lifelong friends through it.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have such a varied music taste, from indie to rock, r'n'b, electronic and generic pop. Examples of my favourite bands include; Muse, Alt-J, Foals and Lana Del Rey. Only recently have I begun reading for pleasure. As a kid, I was a total bookworm but due to the painfully boring books I read for uni, my passion for reading disappeared. Recently I've read 'The Girl on The Train,' 'A Street Cat Named Bob,' and more. I'm currently reading 'The Celestine Prophecies' and I'm unsure whether it's supposed to be fiction or non-fiction... Maybe you could help, as the internet is not very reliable on the subject.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I ran out of money in NYC so attempted to busk in Times Square. I only sung half a song and made $4, so I think if I carried on I could have made quite a bit of money to help me on my travels. I gave up after my half song because I felt like no one could hear me without amplification in such a busy tourist spot.
