Apologies in advance for not knowing how to work this app, it’s all very new to me lol!

I am currently on a gap year before starting university, to do paediatric nursing. But I wanted to adventure into the world a little before settling into a four year course. I’m a very independent person who loves the company of others, many people in my life would describe me as ‘bubbly, chatty, daredevil, exiting and full of energy’ but sometimes that can change…depending on the amount of sleep I got the night before lol!
I’m from Northern Ireland, a small little country but equally as beautiful. I live on a farm surrounded by green grass and hundreds of cows. My family is rather large also, but so so important to me!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Meet new people and see the local side of a country ✨
Basically, my friend told me about this app and I was like what the chuff is this, it seems a bit so strange. But then when I was starting to organise my gap year I thought what better way to meet new people and see the local side of life than spending a day and also an evening with someone who knows the city I’m staying in! It’s fantastic! As a tourist and traveller it can be so hard to try and meet people who know the area or can speak English or is willing to take time out of their day and show you around. I hope this app will be the foundation of new friendships!

Interests

Everything outdoors or the sea! Surfing, playing volleyball, being surrounded by animals and I also sing (not like Beyoncé though) 🤌🏽
I’m not much of a girly girl, I don’t usually wear make up or paint my nails. No Im usually in the sea or on the farm. I have more guy friends than girlfriends and LOVE sports. All sports. So yeah, give me a mud bath over the spa any day!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Surfed with dolphins, many times at home! It’s my favourite thing to do 🌊
I’ve done a lot of things in my life but nothing AMAZING yet… maybe this year I will be able to fill this part in by saying; I’ve skydived or swam with a white shark..

Teach, Learn, Share

I’m teaching English everywhere I go..and TRY to learn other languages.. but I also love to just listen and take in what the other person is talking about. Most people these days are always in a rush to move into the next thing or do the next thing on their to do list. I’m a pretty chilled out person (my mum thinks I am too chilled) but it’s important to remember that we’re only on this world for a short time so we have to enjoy it and make the most of every day we are given on earth. I’ve learned a lot in 19 years, to be thankful/forgiving/patient. Covid taught me a lot too, I think before lockdown I was such a DOING person, I always had to be doing something or going somewhere. But now, I’m enjoying being in the one place and enjoying my own company! But at the same time, I missed people, parties and getting to know strangers.

I have a really big personality, so warning you all know I never really know when to shut up😂 But I’m a good listener so maybe that makes up for it! No really though, I love talking to strangers and to my friends. I love the fun things life has to offer, being young and having no commitments is something not all of us are blessed with so I plan on making the most of it now.
I’m also a Christian, I go to church and teach children about the bible! My faith is so important to me, it’s been my cornerstone and my rock since I was 12. God has taught me so much already and this year he has been with me through everything! I would love to share more about this when I meet you.. 💗
