About Me

I moved to Berlin nearly three years ago now to start my bachelor of social work. After quite a while of traveling around Nepal,France and Spain I really found my feet in the big city. I love living here! Berlin allows me to discover life in a different way than traveling. I am so thankful for the opportunity to study and live an independent life. My friends and university inspire me to reflect more about myself, society, privilege, sustainability, feminism, politics, human relationships and interaction... Sometimes I just think too much about anything, I guess.

But at the same time I hate the big city, and so I am fleeing sometimes from there (especially the winters are cruel!).It makes me really happy, when I find some time to travel. Maybe you'll be my "get
-away from my 'normal life' and experience something new" host? :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

simply because I think it is way nicer to get to know a place by getting to know the people who live there than to be forever alone and lost somewhere (I'm exaggerating a bit,but you know what I mean)

Interests

I love to move! If it's not places, it is my body. I dance my way through the flat, I do acrobatics, I swim, I climb a bit (I still want to learn rock and outside climbing in general). I cycle my way around Berlin. I juggle from time to time. I need to be outside. I'll get depressed beiung too much inside. Being in nature (especially in the mountains - as I kind of grew up there) makes me incredibly happy.

Sometimes I grab my ukulele and play a little song. I also have it with me whilst traveling, maybe we can start a little jam session ? ;)

I love eating (vegan-vegetarian) in general and specially speculos! If you don't know what it is, then google it (or even better, just buy and eat it!) . And surely I like to cook as well, I would be happy if we'll find some time to share meals :)

Music, Movies, and Books

at the moment I am reading "die 13 1/2 Leben des Käpt'n Blaubär" from Walter Moers (you probably don't know this massive book (It talks about the adventures of a blue bear in the empire of Zamonien- it's quite funny and light and fits to my life at the moment) and I recently listened a lot to different piano music, all different kind of music to dance to, some 90es Hip Hop, a turkish group calles Grup Yorum (still want to learn turkish someday!) etc... it always changes and I'm always eager to hear whta music makes other peoples hearts dance

Teach, Learn, Share

It's always about to give and to get, isn't it? I'm sure we'll find something to share ;)
