Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I Love to travel. Most of it was staying in hotels, a few times with friends. When I learned about couchsurfing from someone who suggested it to me because I've been mostly traveling alone...I thought it was also another nice way to meet new people, get connected & build a wider global network, and hopefully make really good friends that can stay for life. It's always a great learning opportunity to get acquainted with different cultures and in return be able to share something back. Great experiences so far, except for those who want to use this as a dating app. Update: I understand some people want to use this platform like Tinder. I have always been open and social, but I have never been one of those. I've been on CS for the cultural and friendly exchange, and it still doesn't change how I use it until today. If you're looking for someone to hook up with, you can look elsewhere.

Interests

My interests are all over the place: Travel, Photography, Action Videography, Sports, Music, Dance, Writing & Literature, Science & Technology, Arts, History, Exploration & Discovery...and an endless of other things.

Music, Movies, and Books

Too many genres to mention. I feel like Genre is like the Caste system. I'm too diverse, versatile, and all-around person to confine my music, literature, and film preference to a singular taste.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There are too many Amazing things honestly. And for an adventure/adrenaline-hungry person like me, I try to fill my life with many of those amazing experiences.

But perhaps one that stands out is something I did when I just came out of 5 knee surgeries. I decided to FreeClimb some canyons and cliffs without gear and almost died after jumping off from one cliff to another. I was halfway hanging from the top of the cliff when I landed on the other side, and the choice was merely to live or to die---to pull or to fall. It's as crazy as a Mission Impossible movie, but definitely something I would do again. Had many dangerous adventures after that but I think I couldn't forget the feeling of my life flashing in front of me AND the beauty of the Red Rock Canyons from the top which was totally worth the risk. :)

Teach, Learn, Share

What I Can Share with Hosts

Primarily, Good Company, Fun, and Friendship.
I would be very much willing to share what I know and am able to teach like dancing or how to play an instrument that I know, photography tips, teach culture or language, and share experiences that can hopefully inspire. Or simply give travel tips in those places I've been. :)
