Overview
About Me
I am an open-minded, easy-going and kind person. I love adventures, I can be spontaneous and love meeting new people and learning about new places and different ways of life.
At the moment, I am training to be a Doula (birthing partner) with the charity Bethel Doula. I support vulnerable women, usually asylum seekers or victims of abuse or trafficking, through pregnancy, birth and their first 12 weeks of motherhood. I am also an Arrivals and Advocacy volunteer for the Syrian Refugee Resettlement Programme in Birmingham so I support the arriving Syrian Refugees in their initial months in the country by explaining the culture, supporting them to access medical services or school inductions etc. I also teach English to refugees and asylum seekers.
I am vegan and I am fine to stay anywhere with pets or children - I love kids and animals.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love meeting new people and travelling and I think the best way to see a new place is through the eyes of a local.
