ABOUT ME
In my younger years, I hitch-hiked all around Europe in true Hippie-Style.Now I am a little bit more settled , but still like to travel . I love all animals without exeption, including creepy crawlies, which is why I am vegan, but non vegans are also welcome in my house . My partner Falco and I moved from London to South Devon last year, to be closer to nature.
Couch-surfing seems to be a great way to meet the locals and experience local culture more authentically.
PHILOSOPHY
Live and let live; treat others with kindness; Seize the day; Live your dream and respect this beautiful planet with all it's creatures large and small.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have surfed on other people's couches, and offered a couch to other couchsurfers.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So far, I have met lovely people through couchsurfing and had only positive experiences. I believe that with some common sense and trust in your intuition, this is a fairly safe way to get around and get to know people, and vice versa, to offer your hospitality to others. I also like the idea of couchsurfing because in this world dominated by money and distrust of others, it offers an alternative way of being.
When I travel, all I need is a place where I can put down my sleeping bag and a welcoming smile! I am very independent, considerate, and friendly. I am very happy to help around the house and garden, walk the dog etc. in exchange for your hospitality.
Interests
I have an interest in spiritualit practices and ways of life , psychology, and philosophy. I also like physical activities (cycling, walking, going to the gym, swimming etc), and I read a lot and do enjoy the odd movie. I am also intrigued by tattoos, and their history and meanings in different cultures, and by animal symbolism in shamanic cultures.

Music, Movies, and Books
oh, this would be really too extensive...I can listen to anything from World Music, over Classical to Prodigy. Nowadays I mainly listen to relaxing music. Most influential movie in my life was "Easy Rider". May seem a bit outdated by now, but had a big influence on my life at the time. I don't like Blockbusters and prefer independent cinema. One of my favourite films is "The Piano". I like quiet films with a deeper meaning, but also enjoy a comedy. Books - hmm,I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to reading. I like all the 18th/19th Century classics but also modern literature . However, If the writing style leaves much to be desired, the story needs to be extremely entertaining to keep me reading...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I amazingly survived my youth relatively unscathed.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know quite a bit about Buddhist Philosophy , Meditation, Mindfulness,Yoga, Psychology...I would like to learn more about other spiritual practices and ways of life. I'm particularly interested in spiritual traditions which have a respect for nature and ALL living beings in it.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Free yoga lessons... my ideas, myself, my smile...and more practical things, such as looking after pets etc. I'm not very confident cooking for others, but I am happy to buy the meal ingredients, act as assistant cook, and do the dishes :)
