I am wanting to get to know Canada more. I have a goal of trying to camp in all of the national parks.

ABOUT ME

I am a teacher in Toronto. I am an outdoor person and love to use my bike or feet to get around. I have been very lucky that my career has allowed me to travel to many different places to work. I love meeting people; hearing their stories and being inspired from their experiences. As a teacher I get to hear the stories of my students. I also volunteer on a phone line for anyone to call and share

PHILOSOPHY

I feel that the best way to travel, is by meeting the people that are there and getting to know them. I love to ask questions.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have participated in hangouts and met a lot of amazing people when I was traveling overseas. I am hoping to be a part of the Canadian Couch Surfing community.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have participated in the hangouts while living overseas and met great people. They were able to guide me to new areas to explore. I hope to do the same thing for those people visiting Toronto.

Interests

Food, camping and hiking will always perk my ears up. I now love to bike and hope to do more long bike rides in Ontario.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have sailed on a tall ship as one of 16 adults in charge of 42 people aged 16 - 21 for 6 months. We crossed the Atlantic twice, and survived a ship wreck. I have also lived in Indonesia
