Overview
About Me
I spend my days poking bugs in California's central valley, where I do field work as a lab tech at UC Berkeley. I'm off to Missoula in the fall to start grad school. I'm always up for a good adventure, even if I'm cozy in my bed like a warm toasty cinnamon bun and don't think I want to go outside.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love adventures, and don't think I really can know a place without knowing the people who live there. I love spending time with friendly strangers and sharing stories.
Interests
I love relaxing with friends, watching movies, laughing at movies starring Nicholas Cage, screaming at scary videogames, reminiscing, and biking really slowly in the dark and watching the moon.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I hope to be able to say many more things here, but for the moment, the most amazing thing I've done is skydiving. It is exhilarating. Also, I used to take care of a bunch of cute animals at the Oakland Zoo and have shoveled more than my share of bear poop.
Teach, Learn, Share
Most of the things I know about I don't think I know about until you ask me. I want to learn about practical ways to survive in the wild, I want to learn about plants, and religions, and the universe, and starting fires with sticks, and philosophy, and bugs and cryptozoology.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can teach you more than you probably want to know about bugs, and pitch in around the house, I'm a pretty decent cook and am always happy to share whatever miscellaneous food/beer I have (as long as it's not Doritos I don't share Doritos get your own).
