About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To see, to do, to meet, to learn. To be open to new things. And to have a bit of fun!!!
ABOUT ME
I live in a tiny island, Unst, and love it, even though everyone knows everything about everyone.... I love sailing, and although I'm no expert I try to get afloat with whenever I can. I love to relax and sit with folk over a tea, coffee or a glass of something more relaxing, depending on the mood.
PHILOSOPHY
To be openminded is the most difficult, yet absolutely the best, way to be.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've just booked an interrail ticket so I can see a bit more of Europe, so I'll try and do a bit of couchsurfing on my way.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I used to host, but moved a year or so ago, and I'm still making the new house habitable so I've not hosted for a while.

Music, Movies, and Books
Stig Larson books, A Thousand Splendid Suns, Harry Potter (I was being responsible and had to read them before I let my kids loose on them ;0))...
Music - not so fussy really, anything that fits my mood. Same with movies!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Mareel. (Dialect word for phosphorescence in the sea.) It's amazing stuff, and I've seen it from bow waves, oars, trailing fingers in the water...
Teach, Learn, Share
I guess I know a fair bit about Orkney and Shetland, having lived there most of my life.
I know a fair bit about sailing but am no expert.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I like to take part in the chores, so ask me to do the dishes or clean the loo!
