About Me
Hello! I’m currently having a gap year (or a year and a half) after graduating from high school last Fall. Since I was a kid, my dream was always to travel freely, meet new people, have new experiences, learn about different cultures firsthand and have fun. And now I finally have a chance to do it! I already travelled in USA for 3 months last Winter/Spring, then came back home, worked for a bit and now I’m traveling again, this time in Europe. I don’t have a strict plan, but I’m excited to meet new people and see beautiful places. I like nature, mountains, beautiful cities with old buildings, places with soft decay, sitting in car listening to music, driving through beautiful places, spontaneous trips, swimming in lakes, not knowing what’s gonna happen tomorrow or where you will lie your head, walking alone when the sun goes down. I like big, old castles, I’m fascinated with roalty, riches and abundance but I’m also okay with sleeping on a train station floor. I love contrast. Life imitates art!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to hangout with locals and fellow travellers, make new friends. I love the idea of getting to know new people, having interesting conversations, genuine connection, making memories together - and then possibly never seeing each other again or meeting in a totally different place and a situation months or years later. Also, I believe in kindness of strangers. It’s amazing when people open their homes to total strangers. Isn’t that beautiful! Right now I’m on an endless roadtrip, but I really want to host too when I get the chance.
Interests
I’m interested in arts, history, philosophy, biology... I’m very bad with general trivia stuff, I just usually get very passionate about a certain topic and then dive deep into it and research everything about for weeks. (I’m the same way with music, movies and books too). I also love acting. That’s how I can truly express myself, which is ironic cause acting is all about playing someone else. When I’m acting I get to be someone else, I’m free of all my own restrictions... but it’s still me. When I get to touch that line between me and someone else, it feels like flying. It’s hard to explain but I can find true freedom there.
I also like writing. Depends on my mood how much I do it. Sometimes I write all the time and sometimes and I can’t stand my own writings at all.

Music, Movies, and Books
I have a golden trio in music; Lana Del Rey, Nightwish and Florence + The Machine. These are the artists/bands I keep coming back to over and over again, I know every album, pretty much all the song. Name any song from one these artists and I’ll sing it to you. :D I suppose I have a very specific taste in music but at the same time I like music from many different genres and I like checking new things out. I also like to listen to movie soundtracks and folk music, pop sometimes and indie. Depends on the situation. All music is good if it’s the right occasion. Some of my favourite tv-series/movies are Game of Thrones, Shutter Island, Pulp Fiction, Django Unchained, Castle in The Sky, Spirited Away, Laputa Castle in the Sky, Into The Wild, I, Tonya, The Room, etc… I love watching movies and making them. Although I haven’t made them professionally, I’m always down to make shortfilms etc with my friends. And I’ve also been an extra in some bigger films and I just love the atmosphere on movie sets. My favourite books are hands down the Harry Potter series. I’m still rereading them regulary as an adult. I also like reading nonfiction like The Brief History of Humankind, and some historical books.
