About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To experience as frequently as I am granted the opportunity to!

ABOUT ME

Hello couch surfing community! My name is Rwang and I am from Los Angeles, California. I like to think that I am an easy going person who enjoys laughing and having a good time. And a good time doesn't always mean wild adventures, I also enjoy the quiet and simple things too. I studied and recieved a degree in social ecology but currently work the fashion industry. Dance, film, music, fashion, and art play a major role in my life and I thoroughly enjoy being in creative environments.

I was an English language and culture assistant in Madrid, Spain. I worked with children between the ages of 5-8 (1st and 2nd grade) and they make me happy everyday. Teaching was never something I planned to do but I took the opportunity and it has been one of the best decisions I have made in my life.

I am very new to the couch surfing community and I want to continue to discover the great things that it has to offer and the opportunities to meet wonderful people that comes with it.

PHILOSOPHY

I remind myself to always make time for the things and people I love and to stay positive, as difficult as it may be at times. I always try to see how I can continue to challenge myself everyday in everything I do, even if it is as simple as trying a new food.
Part of that is to contribute to people or things that I am around. It´s important to me to make the most of everything that I do but also find ways to contribute to these expriences. Can´t be selfish.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To experience traveling in a different way. It's easy to visit a country but its difficult to immerse yourself as much as possible during your visit. To be introduced to someone that has created a life for themselves in a particular place and that is willing to share that with another person is something I would like to be a part of as well as reciprocate. Contribute.

Interests

I really enjoy watching films.
I love food and trying new cuisines. I took up the craft of cooking which I enjoy a lot now. It´s an amazing feeling when you create something delicious all on your own.
I enjoy music and discovering new artists, sounds, genres; whether actually new or only new to me.
I enjoy dancing, a lot!!
Sleeping is also great! Its something I love to do and fortunately hardly have any trouble doing.
Art - all forms for it.
Fashion
I also enjoy hiking

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Quitting my job and buying a one way ticket to Spain. This is something a lot of people do, but the feeling of taking an opportunity like this is something I am proud I did; it is something AMAZING!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Simply my experiences. I can't say my experiences are necessarily grand enough that everyone should learn from them, but I am more than willing to share what I have learned in my life to others, and if someone is able to find a piece of my life inspirational then that is something I will be proud of.
If the sharing my experiences doesn't work, I can cook something and share that too!!

Countries I’ve Visited
