About Me

"Dream up, dream up/Let me fill your cup/with the promise of a man "

I've always loathed these boxes where I have to describe myself. What can I say? I'm sarcastic, but don't let that fool you. I always thought of myself as someone who could hide her emotions, but I wear my heart on my sleeve.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My first couchsurfing experience was with friends. We stayed with some music majors in Lawrence, KS. They were very friendly and hospitable. We also stayed with a lovely man named Arvo in New Mexico. I've also done couchsurfing in Buenos Aires and met a really good friend of mine that way.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Harold and Maude, Heathers, 2001: Space Odyssey, A Man Escaped, Memories of Underdevelopment, 28 Days Later

Music: I don't have a favorite band, rather I go through different periods of listening to one artist or song. Right now I'm really into Matthew Dear and Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti. I also have been listening to more old-school R&B/soul and cumbia.

Books: Shel Silverstein's delightful poems, East of Eden by Steinbeck, Brief Interviews with Hideous Men by David Foster Wallace

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in a small pueblo in Uruguay for a couple of months, and these great electrical storms used to blow through. There were just these immense clouds with flashing lights that seemed to surround us from all directions. It was pretty surreal.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm gluten free (not by choice) and love to bake! I'm trying to convince everyone that gf foods can be just as good as 'normal' food.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm courteous and clean and love getting a local's perspective on things.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Italy, Mexico, Peru, Portugal, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

Argentina, Brazil, Spain, United States, Uruguay
