ABOUT ME

Rosie: I will soon be in a scientific illustration program through the University of Washington in Seattle, which I'm very excited about. Right now I'm in between places, staying in Sonoma, California, with my boyfriend Alex and his family, working a little and having a good time. I am trying to live well, to do good things, to learn everything, or at least a lot of things. I love drawing things realistically, because I love so many things as they are, and the more perfectly I can draw them, the closer my hands are to following how I feel. I believe that almost everything can be interesting, and I want to help prove it.

Alex: I've been out of university for past year and have spent a majority of my time working unrelated jobs and writing/recording music. i'm hoping to find a thriving music scene with many inspired and creative musicians.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Rosie: I am brand new to couchsurfing, so I've only just begun participating. I am looking to do some couchsurfing in Seattle soon with my boyfriend Alex (hence my member name). We are looking for a place to live there, and once we live there, starting sometime in the fall, we will be able to host people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have never couchsurfed before. We have many close friends who have been couchsurfing for years, all over the world, and we feel quite behind the times! The closest Rosie came to couch surfing is hanging out with the various couchsurfers her friend Martin hosted while we were neighbors in Santa Cruz, CA. We're very much looking forward to gaining experience.

Interests

Rosie: Making things, drawing, figure drawing, riding horses, bones, plants, gardening, sailing, embroidery, reading silently, reading outloud, swimming, baking, riding bikes, shape-note singing, dance parties, carving things out of wood, making time for snacks, making time for snakes.
