Secondly please read my girlfriends profile as well! https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/mercedesbeltran
CURRENT MISSION
To make machines that make you smile.
ABOUT ME
TO ALL MY CS HOSTS!:
I'm very sorry that i never took the time to write proper references... the rules have changed and now i can't write them any anymore. Please rest assure i loved staying with all of you and am in your debt, if you are ever in Holland there will be a place for you!
******************************************
So the lets brag about ourself section :)
Im an easy going kind of person, people find me funny and I like to laugh.
And i think that Mercedes is even more funny.
But If you want to talk serious I'm also your man. As long as you will appreciate the good joke in between to keep the perspective open :)
The rest is for you to find out, decide or use force to get out of me. ;)
About my big trip:
Look at http://www.RuudOnTheRun.nl for a tiny bit more intell... but not much.
Basically, i've driven trough every country in europe on my motorbike. I've met amazing people and i've seen amazing places. Now it's my time to return the favour.
PHILOSOPHY
I have to many philosophy's to chose from, which one shall I use today?
"To smile so much, that it makes people uncomfortable"
"Let's do a beer and have a good talk about the subject"
"Whatever you wear doesn't matter, if you're wearing it without an smile, you will still be damn ugly..."
"On the top of a mountain you will not learn about life, you can only learn to enjoy the view"
"I can say... I'm doing it my way."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have quite a bit of surfing experience during my last trip, and by now I know what usually ticks in a CS heart.
But a CSer is like a "kinder-egg", you never know what you are going to get :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Ofcource I went to a few meetings.
I shared appartments and partied with CSers in Marocco, helped build up a campsite with CSers in Turkey. Hosted CSers in my tent or gave them a ride...
I have been hosted so many times that I have lost count, and I am thankful for every each one of them.
Countless times I've been to places that I would never have been without my hosts! Or surfers for that matter.
Interests
Music, guitars, bicycles, bikes, cars, and technology in general.
Ah and also I'm a member of the Scouting, was a "leader" of the explorers (15-18jrs).
But most of all I like life in general, it's the things you can't put in a picture-frame that make it worth while.
But the picture might help you remember that.
And so the people and their stories definitely interest me more than the buildings that surround them.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: Zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance, a must read, although tough. Terry Pratchett's Discworld (read all of them), Hitch-hikers guide to the galaxy (Drink 42 beers). Ah... and I am not afraid to admit it... I read all the Harry Potters!
So i really like GOOD books.
Music.. anything with an acoustic guitar piano, trumpet, trombone, contra-bass etc...
To put it simple... I like really GOOD music... ;-)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Sorry... I can't really tell anymore... but I'm proud to say, that by now, I've lived a little...
Any music festival I have ever been,
Drifting my car trough the rain every day.
Travelling solo on a motorcycle trough the whole of Europe,
Drivng my bike trough the blazing hot Moroccan desert and some pistes.. there's nothing everywhere you look, with no one, no water, and no petrol for miles and miles.
Wildcamping in an abandoned Albanian Military base, on top of cliffs, a communist monument, castles or beaches...
Changing the clutch and gearbox on the Sziget Festival...
Getting away from the Polish police without paying after speeding and illegal overtaking...
Bribing a Montenegrian police officer after doing a mere 46km/h to fast...
Waking up by the sunrise over sea in Greece.
Seeing a moonset in Portugal... (ever seen a red moon?)
Crossing the bridge between Asia an Europe during twilight.
And so many more...
Oh memories...
