ABOUT ME

My favorite thing to do is sit on a porch with some beers, something to smoke, and my friends and shoot the breeze. That is to say that I am pretty laid back and I love getting to know people.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to live like Jesus would want me to, with love even though it doesnt come naturally for me to say the least.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

All I have done thus far is offer up my couch to wayfarers. I hope to do some surfing of my own pretty soon.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I have hosted a guy from Canada who ended up not even staying at my house but traveling with me to a friend's house in Lubbock to participate in the Tour de Tech Terrace. We had a great time hanging out and discussing his travels so it was definitely a positive experience.

The second time we had 3 french musicians stay with us for a night night. We got to watch their show which was fantastic and had a fun night and morning. They must have liked us because they came back and stayed with us again about a year later when they were on tour again. That was really cool.

My third experience was with a student from LSU surfing my couch. We had a good time chatting and playing video games.

The fifth experience was hosting 4 Israeli musicians. I got to see their show which was excellent and I had a really good time goofing around with them last night and this morning.

So far all my experiences hosting have been fantastic. I only wish I got more requests by surfers.

I have the hardest times picking favorites. I like to get really lost in books so I like fantasy, science fiction, and theology if I can understand it. Music wise, I like hip-hop and R&B the most. I don't watch a lot of movies but anything with a main character doing badass stuff is always a hit.

The forests near the coast in Alaska were amazing. I love forests and mountains and they are always fascinating.

Me and a couple friends won a chariot race once. That was pretty sweet.

I want someone to teach me how to take myself less seriously. Will pay $$$. I think one of the best things I have to offer people is honesty. I really enjoy exploring thoughts and feelings with someone else. So together thru discussion, perhaps we can gain a greater understanding of ourselves, the world, and how we ought to interact with it. I like being challenged with thoughts about God or existence and ethics and I think such topics are of paramount importance to discuss. I dont know how much I really have to teach, but I definitely like to learn.
