Overview
About Me
I am traveling through Europe for the next six weeks to interview people from different countries, walks of life and cultural backgrounds about the concept of happiness for my Senior Thesis! The hope is for these interviews to culminate in the creation of a Documentary Theatre Piece that explores how happiness manifests itself as a cross-cultural concept. I hope that through the use of couch surfing I can meet locals in the places I pass through and get the chance to interview them about their personal experiences with happiness and their philosophy on the matter to broaden my own conception of happiness and aid in the creation of my thesis!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m on couchsurfing because I’m a college student traveling through Europe on the cheap and I hope that it will provide a good way for me to meet locals who can show me how to experience the places I travel to the fullest!!!

Music, Movies, and Books
I love moulin rouge, any James Bond film (more for the nostalgic appeal they bear than the actual quality of the film). I think Jaws is a cinematic masterpiece and I would love to have a conversation about it should you think otherwise. Robin Hood Men in Tights is also genius. I suppose if we’re being serious about quality films Moonlight, Call me by your name, Swiss Army Man and Transformers 7 come to mind. As for books, I love me some classical literature; Jane Austen tells crAzy good stories as do James Joyce, Faulkner and all those guys. I haven’t read a whole lot for pleasure lately so these are really just what I read back in high school that stuck out to me. As for music I listen exclusively to instrumental movie soundtracks... and the Beatles, but everyone listens to the Beatles ;)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I almost got struck by lightning on top of Mount Vesuvius.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I’m a theatre student, which means at the very least I can provide a source of entertainment. But beyond that I’m currently working on a project investigating what a cross-cultural definition of happiness could look like, so I can also offer my hosts some in depth conversation about their personal philosophies of happiness when they need a break from me cracking jokes or asking about what kinds of food are best to eat around here!
