Overview
About Me
Finished a year of traveling 5 continents, and somehow still going!
I am 34, grew up in Maryland (just outside Washington, DC), lived 13 years in New York City, left it to take a year traveling all over the United States, and spent two years in Los Angeles, California during the pandemic. No idea where on the world I’ll wind up next to settle, or if I ever will!
Wanderer and wonderer. Life should be an adventure.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am keeping an eye out on places to stay, but more importantly, I really enjoy making new friends and exchanging cultures, ideas and perspectives. I’m here to learn, it’s been the greatest gift to be out of the US and make friends from all over the world. My perspective on life has changed so much.

Music, Movies, and Books
Really anything. List is big and I am always up for recommendations.
Movies - The list is too huge, to be honest. Some all-timers are The Wicker Man, Out of the Past, O Lucky Man!, Anything by Robert Altman (3 Women, Nashville, The Long Goodbye). 70s films, Horror, Cult, Film Noir, Foreign, Fantasy, Classics, Westerns -- I’ll watch anything! I love my 80s/90s action movies too.
Music - Like movies this list is too big. All time favorites might be (but not at all limited to!) Neil Young, Hank Williams, The Ramones, Miles Davis, David Bowie, The Rolling Stones, Velvet Underground/Lou Reed/John Cale. Punk, Metal (esp live), Psych/Prog, Stoner Metal, Krautrock, Classical, Classic Country, Jazz, Bossa Nova, World Music, Folk, New Wave, 90s Alt-Rock/Grunge, Soul, anything!
Books - The Razor's Edge, Tropic of Cancer, Raymond Carver Short Stories, Dune, The Long Goodbye, Rabbit Run, Ubik, Blue Highways, Walden, Steppenwolf, The Teachings of Don Juan, The Songlines, The Incal, The Dharma Bums, anything Charles Bukowski, Rainer Maria Rilke, HP Lovecraft, JG Ballard, and many many more. Reading more nonfiction these days.
TV - Try not to watch too much TV, but I do love The Sopranos, Peep Show, Twin Peaks, True Detective S1, Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Mad Men, Rick and Morty, etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
What I'm doing now! Traveling around the world has been a lifelong dream of mine, and without being finished I am already amazed at the places I've seen and the people I've met.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can offer you an honest, candid conversations over anything and everything. I’m big on one-on-one hangouts and don’t care much for small talk, though
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am an open book and always up for a good conversation.
If I'm staying with you, I'm happy to spend whatever time you see fit to hang out (and I'm just as happy spending time on my own if not!).
