I'm a college student from Lake In The Hills, Illinois - the officially ranked third safest city in America. I currently attend a local community college the next town over in Crystal Lake, but plan on transferring to Illinois State University in Normal, IL next year. In the summers I work at a marina/boat house/beach in Crystal Lake called Three Oaks. There I work as a marina attendant (renting out boats/cleaning boats/etc.) or at the beach gate or parking entrance gate. In winters, I'm a retail associate at my local Kohl's store. I play music as a rather serious hobby year round. I write and record music as well as book local shows and tours for myself and other musicians, which is why I joined Couchsurfing! I'm a touring musician in the summers and I need help finding a place to stay after shows. I'm a very respectful and easy-going guest, and I'm usually fine with anything you have to offer (anything beats sleeping in a car!). I pride myself on my sense of perspective so I try to repay people by seeing if I can find a place for them to stay when they come through my area.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

My music has helped people get through upsetting times, in particular I got one email saying a song of mine stopped a person from her fifth suicide attempt. I want to spread positive messages to help make the world a better place. It sounds cheesy, but I think if I can even help a few people with their personal issues or with larger ones, I feel my life has some sense of purpose.
