I'm currently in the process of breaking away from the social consumerist norm to live a more simplistic life, venturing down the path of minimalism. There are so many places and people to visit in this world, I want to be free to do such things. Stealth camping in my car has helped me achieve connections to places in my relative back yard. I would like to expand those borders, and I think couch surfing could help.

I also enjoy cycling the city. I often cycle to work, and tour downtown Calgary. With more and more breweries opening in Calgary, cycle brewery tours have been great fun.

A few reasons why I'm on Couchsurfing:

-I would like to connect with people from other regions, share stories, good food, and a drink or many. I enjoy showing people around the city where I grew up. These connections lead to opportunities in the future, when I decide to travel the world.

-I also would like to inspire my daughter to travel when she is young, before responsibilities really kick in. Reaching out and showing kindness with people all over the world, have great feedback of life experiences while travelling will hopefully help her decide where she would like to go.

-I'm convenient for people passing through Calgary, or staying for a little while. I'm close to the airport, with easy access to the mountains. Downtown is a bit of a travel, but walking tours have been great fun!

Muzyka, filmy i książki

Music - I can appreciate most forms of music, except rap... and country. I really lean towards alternative rock, but I also like to plug in some D&B, Jazz and instrumental metal.

Movies - The Matrix. Watch, it will really happen one day... Or maybe we're living it now. Of course, Skynet will have to happen first. Basically, I like movies that puts a spin on conventional thinking.

Books - Jim Patterson novels are good reads. The girl with a dragon tattoo series is great in book form, modern movie, not so much. Lee Child with the Jack Reacher series have some good books in the series.

If you would like to hike, I can take you to see some breathtaking places. If you would like some delicious plant based meals, I can cook for you (I'm also really good at making non-plant based meals). For fantastic drink, that is open to preference, but there are some great craft beers out there.
